Held at Elouera Beach, Cronulla, over the weekends of 27 - 28 February (Junior Championships) and 3 - 4 March (Senior Championships), the MacLeod Pipe Band officiated at the "March Past" of Surf Life Saving Club teams on each occasion. The State Championships were significant as apart from being an annual event on the NSW Surfing calendar, it also marked the 100th Anniversary of Surf Life Saving in the State of New South Wales. The Clan MacLeod Band was privileged to be part of the proceedings.
