YOUR INVITATION TO PARTICPATE AT THE SYDNEY MEDIEVAL FAYRE

Dear Re-enactors/ Entertainers.I am writing to you and your group to inform you about what we believe is a great new proposed event on the Medieval Festival calendar here in Australia and in particular Sydney NSW.

Our company is known as United Swords International. We are a wholesaler of medieval weaponry and Armour both for the Re-enacting community and the general public.

A major undertaking of United Swords is the further development of raising funds for community groups in need through the development and staging of high class Medieval Fayres and Markets, which brings me to the point of our correspondence.

The Sydney Medieval Fayre is to be held at Castle Hill Show Grounds on the 2nd –3rd December 2006 United Swords International are proud to announce that they will be staging the Festival.Gates will open at 12pm each day and Show times will be from 3:00pm till 8:30pm Saturday and Sunday.

This festival will be the first NSW Medieval Fayre to be hosted by United Swords International, as an Annual event. However we have plans to stage 3 to 4 events in NSW next year, considering Newcastle, Wollongong, and the Central Coast as locations. It is planned that the proceeds from these events will go to the Childrens Cancer Support.

Our aim is to create a spectacular and “true to life” Medieval experience with as many stallholders, re-enactors, static displays and encampments as possible. To this end and for this event to be a success it is fundamentally important to gain the support of re-enacting groups, performers and stallholders. With great enthusiasm we offer you this invitation and seek your support through your further participation at the festival this year.

We have chosen to stage this event later in the day than is usual because of the summer season. This has an added bonus that it would be, to the best of our knowledge, the first Medieval Fayre to be held under lights. In addition to this it allows this event to take place this year as the Inaugural event allowing all involved to stage this Festival bigger and better next year.

Please note that there is a large amount of camping space for all participants and we invite you to bring along as many people as possible. We would be extremely happy if you were able to come, so please contact us as soon as possible. We hope to draw between 10 and 20 thousand general public over the two days.

We have attached further relevant information and ask you to please complete form and return to the above address. Please also complete this form if you can’t attend but would like to be involved in other events.

Thanking you and looking forward to a successful year. You may also call me 24/7 on 0402491706

Hi everyone,
I stumbled across the website today and it looks fantastic. It has been a long time since I have been back in Australia and I hope you are all well. Simone and I are doing well and we are having our first child in three months time. We are now living in Bahrain and I am now playing with a social Pipe Band in Saudi Arabia called the Dhahran Pipes and Drums. We will probably be over here for a few more years and I am hoping to get to visit the worlds next year to check it out with a few other members of DP&D. Anyway I hope you are all well and the photos look fantastic. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Roger, Good to see your name and your interest in the website. It must be time for you to come and join us again - in fact, the whole family should be keen by now! Come along one Monday night and you'll see that things are much the same as when you were with us. And give the pipes a workout as well !!
